More AARP Driving Classes...for Drivers 50 and Older

Please remember that the cost of the AARP driver safety class has changed.

  • Participants must present their AARP membership card at the time of registration to get the fee of $12.
  • Non-members of AARP, or those without their AARP membership card will be charged $14.
  • Checks must be made payable to AARP. No cash will be accepted.

    We know how popular these classes given by Mr. Charles Hlavenka are, so mark your calendars now! We have three AARP driving classes scheduled at the library from now through the fall. Don't say we didn't warn you.

    Course 1
    Date: Mondays, June 22 and 29 from 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
    Registration: Begins for W.H. residents only at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1.
    Non-residents may register, space permitting, beginning on Monday, June 8.

    Course 2
    Date: Tuesdays, August 18 and 25 from 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
    Registration: Begins for W.H. residents only at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 4.
    Non-residents may register, space permitting, beginning on Tuesday, August 11.

    Course 3
    Date: Mondays, October 20 and 27 from 9:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m.
    Registration: Begins for W.H. residents only at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 6.
    Non-residents may register, space permitting, beginning on Tuesday, October 13.

    For all classes, each participant must bring his/her driver’s license and checkbook when registering and attend all parts of the course to receive credit. Classes are held in the Community Room on the lower level and begin promptly.
