Our 2009-2010 Museum Season

Every year we make changes in our Museum Program based on each museum's offerings, its fees, and the interest shown by our patrons. In 2009-2010 we are pleased to have 9 museums in our Family Pass Program. These museum passes may be reserved like a book and must be returned on time to be passed along to other patrons who have reserved them.

museumtkts.jpgThis year, to highlight the natural history of Long Island, we have added the Garvies Point Museum and Preserve in Glen Cove.

We are also introducing the Guggenheim Museum and bringing back the Museum of Modern Art, two world renowned cultural institutions in NYC. The Guggenheim Museum is famous for its spiral structure, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and its unique presentation space of modern paintings, sculpture and film. The Museum of Modern Art, with its incomparable collection of modern and contemporary art, is now in an elegant, remodeled building.
