Wear Red, Eat Red 2011

wear-red.jpgOn Friday, February 4, 2011, Americans nationwide will WEAR RED to show their support for women's heart disease awareness on National Wear Red Day®.

Each year, since moving to our new building, the staff at West Hempstead Public Library have participated in this effort by wearing red to encourage women to be more aware of the danger of heart disease. We invite you to join us! (See our photos: 2008, 2009, 2010)

On Feb. 4, 2011, along with our red apparel, we plan to celebrate healthy lifestyles by enjoying some of the 10 Foods in Red recommended by the American Heart Association!
